You have full control over which notifications you receive, both when you’re logged into the site (on-site alerts) and through email. Adjusting these settings helps ensure you only get the updates that matter most to you.
To update your notification preferences, follow these steps:
-
Access the Settings Menu:
-
Locate and click the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top right corner of the site’s header. This icon opens the main navigation menu.
-
-
Open Settings:
-
In the side menu that appears, scroll if needed and click on “Settings”. This will take you to your personal settings page.
-
-
Navigate to the General Tab:
-
Once in Settings, find and select the “General” tab. This section contains your notification options along with other general preferences.
-
-
Manage On-Site Alerts:
-
At the top of the General settings page, you will see options for on-site alerts. These are notifications that appear while you are actively using the site, such as updates about your account activity, messages, or other important alerts.
-
You can toggle these notifications on or off depending on what you want to see while logged in.
-
-
Manage Email Notifications:
-
Scroll down further, and you’ll find various categories of email notifications. Examples include:
-
Account security alerts
-
Information messages
-
-
For each category, you can choose whether you want to receive emails.
-
-
Choose Email Frequency:
-
Near the email notification settings, there is an option to select how often you receive emails:
-
Individual emails: Get a separate email for each notification.
-
Daily summary: Receive a single email summarising all notifications from the day.
-
-
This helps reduce inbox clutter while keeping you informed.
-
-
Save Your Changes:
-
After making your selections, don’t forget to click the “Update” button at the bottom of the page to save your preferences.
-
If you navigate away without updating, your changes will not be saved.
-
Tips:
-
Review your notification settings periodically to keep them aligned with your preferences.
-
Adjusting your email frequency can be especially useful if you receive many notifications.
-
If you ever stop receiving important notifications, double-check these settings to ensure they are still enabled.
